Noizex — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Noizex ("the app", "we") handles your information. Noizex is an on-device audio noise removal and voice recording app.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, upload, or store your audio recordings on any server. All noise removal (AI processing) happens locally on your device.
• We do not collect your contacts, location, messages, or files.
• We do not require an account, login, email, or phone number.

2. On-Device Data

• Recordings and enhanced files are saved to your device's shared storage (Music/Noizex and Movies/Noizex) so you can access, share, or delete them at any time.
• App settings (such as output format) are stored locally on your device only.

3. Permissions We Use and Why

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): required to record audio in the live recorder. Audio is captured only while you actively record and is saved only to your device.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): used to show recording status and processing progress. Optional — the app works without it.
• Media access: used to let you pick audio/video files for cleaning and to save results to your device's media folders.
• Internet: used only to display ads and to fetch the latest version of this privacy policy.

4. Advertising (Unity Ads)

Noizex shows ads served by Unity Ads. Unity Ads may collect and process certain data to serve ads, such as:

• Device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID)
• IP address and coarse location derived from it
• Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

This data is processed by Unity Technologies under its own privacy policy. Learn more:

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

5. Your Rights in the EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising data (such as your Advertising ID) is processed only on the following legal bases:

• Consent — when you accept personalized ads in the app;
• Legitimate interest — for limited, non-personalized ad serving and fraud prevention, where permitted.

You have the right to:

• Withdraw or change your consent at any time — via your device settings or in-app preferences;
• Access, correct or delete personal data processed by Unity for advertising — see the Unity Privacy Policy;
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Noizex itself does not collect or store any personal data on its own servers, so there is no additional data held by us to access or erase — your recordings exist only on your device.

6. US State Privacy Rights (California and Other States)

If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law (such as the CCPA/CPRA, or the laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut or Utah), note that showing personalized ads may count as "sharing" of personal information (the Advertising ID) with our advertising partner, Unity Ads.

You have the right to:

• Opt out of the sharing/sale of personal information;
• Limit ad personalization device-wide — turn on Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID on your device;
• Non-discrimination — the app works exactly the same whether or not you opt out.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not collect any personal information ourselves — only Unity Ads processes ad data as described in section 4.

7. Children's Privacy

Noizex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will address it.

8. Data Security

Because your recordings never leave your device, the primary way to protect them is your device's own security (screen lock, encryption). Files you share from the app are shared under your control via apps you choose.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete any recording or enhanced file at any time from within the app or from your device's file manager. Uninstalling the app removes all app settings; files saved to shared storage (Music/Noizex, Movies/Noizex) remain on your device until you delete them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time (for example, when adding new features or ad formats). The latest version will always be available at this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
