This Privacy Policy explains how the dasTTS Android application ("the App", "we") handles your information. dasTTS is an offline text-to-speech app: all speech generation happens locally on your device.
None. The App itself does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, phone number or location, and does not include any analytics or tracking code of its own. The text you type and the audio you generate are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
The App shows advertisements served by Unity Ads, a third-party advertising service provided by Unity Technologies (Unity Software Inc.). To serve and measure ads, the Unity Ads SDK may automatically collect:

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App shows a consent form on first launch, before any ads are requested. You may consent to or decline personalized advertising; if consent is declined where it is required, ads are not requested (or only non-personalized ads are served, where supported).
If you are located in a US state with an applicable privacy law (such as California), you may be shown options to limit the processing of your information for advertising.
You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
When you save generated audio (WAV/MP3), the file is written to your device's shared storage in the Download/dasTTS folder using Android's MediaStore. These files stay on your device only and are fully under your control — the App never uploads them. Sharing a file with another app happens only when you explicitly use the share function.
On first launch, the App downloads the Kokoro text-to-speech model files (approximately 310 MB) from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), a third-party file hosting service. As with any internet download, Hugging Face's servers can see your IP address during the download. No other information is sent. See the Hugging Face Privacy Policy.

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or files created by other apps.
We do not sell, trade or share any personal information, because we do not collect any. The only third parties that receive data are Unity Technologies (for advertising, as described in Section 2) and Hugging Face (your IP address during the model download, as described in Section 5).
Since all speech processing is local and we operate no servers and no user database, there is no personal data for us to store, lose or breach. Data handled by Unity Technologies is retained according to Unity's retention policies.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is served through Unity Ads in compliance with its policies.
Depending on your region (GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to processing. Because the App itself does not collect personal data, such requests generally concern data held by Unity Technologies — you can exercise those rights through Unity's privacy contact channels and your device's Advertising ID settings.
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this same URL with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be reflected in the App's store listing.
